From very early on as a child, I knew that I wanted to go into business for myself. If my father gave me candy or toys, I would take them to school and sell these items to friends. The idea of independence and being my own boss was at the forefront of my mind. Starting a business in New York City also made perfect sense to me because it is the city of opportunity! My first year in the city was filled with growth, self-development, and resource accumulation. 

Upon moving to New York, my friend helped me get a job with a lice removal company. I took the job because it paid better than anything else that was currently hiring. I was in shock at how much this company was making. Families, schools, and summer camps were willing to pay thousands of dollars to get rid of lice. 

The untapped industry is LICE REMOVAL! At first, I almost completely rejected the idea of getting into the lice removal business until I looked at this from a business owner's perspective. Helping people understand and treat lice infestations is both rewarding and well-paying. Lice breakouts affect millions of children in the US each year since lice exist in all seasons, all over. Lice can spread quickly to friends and family, especially in a close quarter city such as New York. Providing education and treatment can help solve the problem, alleviate panic, and diminish embarrassment. Urban families, commercial businesses, schools, and corporations are willing to pay for expert lice removal services to avoid the stigma and harmful effects from various chemicals in over-the-counter treatments. Do-it-yourself (DIY) treatments may not as effectively kill lice and nits (the eggs) since there is only a 20-30% success rate, resulting in extended periods of lice fighting and emotional strain on those fighting the lice. 

After learning all this while working for a lice removal company, I knew I had found my calling and went ALL IN! I founded Larger Than Lice in 2015, and by 2016, my business had taken off! 

My success in this industry with my own business encouraged me to continue to grow and expand my possibilities. Through trial and error, I combined techniques from various head lice removal to create my own trademarked technique (The Larger Than Lice Technique of Cutting-Edge Lice and Nit Removal), which is faster and more effective.  Inspiration hit when I realized I could coach others to start their own successful business with low investment and potential for faster return on investment in this untapped market.

Clients who have worked with me have been able to shorten their timeline to reaching success in the lice industry with their very own lice removal business.
